Indian nationality and GCC residence are different parts of a Saudi tourist eligibility check. A resident of the UAE or another GCC state should use the residence-based questions in the official Saudi finder, and check each accompanying family member rather than treating one residence card as a group visa.

Collect the residence evidence first

Keep the current residence card or permit, passport and expiry information together. Verify the country and status of residence rather than relying on a GCC entry visa. A short visit to Dubai does not make the traveller a UAE resident. If a permit is being renewed, check whether the documents currently held are accepted before starting the Saudi form.

Review dependants separately

Family members may have different passport nationalities, permit dates or residence categories. Enter each person's own details and check any accompanying-family condition in the official route. A main applicant's eligibility should not be used to invent residence for a spouse or child who lives in India. Identify the travel group before booking flights or land transport.

Keep visa and return travel aligned

For a Saudi holiday starting from a GCC country, confirm both Saudi entry and the right to return to the country of residence. Save the issued visa and the supporting residence evidence offline. Road travel adds vehicle, rental and border logistics, so ask about those separately rather than assuming that tourist visa approval covers the whole journey.

Practical checklist

  • Distinguish residence from a short-term GCC visit.
  • Review every family member's status.
